L'impossible devient possible
Manifesto
Treading water for 10 years may not be the end of the world, but that's why we love it.
By making our clothes close to you, we draw on all the diversity of the French textile industry to tread water wholeheartedly. And for a short circuit that looks further afield, we develop ever gentler materials for our customers and the environment. We're unashamedly building a modern, sustainable look, to showcase the expertise of our workshops and the trades we continue to invent. So even if we sound crazy, we like to go round in circles on the short circuit, and it's a first step towards CHANGING FASHION.
And because the short circuit is a long-term process, it's essential to give it momentum . So to avoid short circuits, we work in contact with a whole ecosystem of companies driven by our successes, sometimes guided by our mistakes, and always committed to the same ambition: to make things happen without moving very far. Together, we're building a balance that's as much ethical as it is economic, to encourage creativity and reinvent the textile industry towards a more humane and sustainable model. So, even if we know where we want to go, treading water is a marathon, with each step helping to CHANGE THE WORLD .

THE PANACHE
Le Slip Français' mission is to reinvent the textile industry with panache, by manufacturing all your products less than 250km from home.
From yarn to supplies to final packaging, the entire manufacturing process is local, committed to preserving jobs and know-how in our regions.
Many of the 33 workshops we work with are classified as Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant (Living Heritage Companies), and all are committed to the quality and reputation of French manufacturing.
"LA DÉGAINE"
For Le Slip Français, "la dégaine" refers to that typically French ease, that relaxed ease with which we find our elegance, effortlessly and without sacrificing comfort.
Briefs are not elegant in themselves, but the Frenchman is always elegant, even in his pyjamas. So the panache of the Slip Français is also this proud posture that makes you feel good about yourself, even in your briefs!
GOOD-TO-WEAR
Clothes that are good for you, good for the world and for everyone.
Le Slip Français is a driving force in a committed ecosystem. For example, by working with 1083 to develop new eco-designed materials, by creating the "Bouge ton Pompon" event in aid of the Telethon, or by participating in the construction of "Savoir-Faire Ensemble" to coordinate the large-scale manufacture of sanitary masks in France.
The brand is part of a collective effort to reinvent the textile industry in the service of common well-being.
MANUFACTURING WITH COMMON SENSE, VALUING JOBS AND PRODUCTS, TAKING CARE OF THOSE AROUND US AND WHAT SURROUNDS US.
Le Slip Français was born in 2011 with 600 briefs in the garage of its founder, Guillaume Gibault. Today, with over 2 million items sold and a complete wardrobe, the ambition remains the same:
To manufacture with common sense, valuing jobs and products, taking care of those around us, and what surrounds us.
Guillaume Gibault is also President of the Façon de Faire group, which was born out of a partnership with many other French brands to manufacture protective masks, gowns and other textile products needed by the population in times of crisis.
